ET Best Promising brands, India, 2015

The Best Brand Initiative was started a year back guided by a research study with Nielson. Building on its success, Economic Times, India's leading financial daily now brings the series into the entrepreneur domain with the ET Best Promising brands. Tata Swach was awarded the ET Best Promising Brands considering parameters of innovation, brand value, brand recall, consumer satisfaction, customer service and quality.

The award was presented to Tata Swach bySoha Ali Khan and Deepak Lamba.

Tata Swach Voted by Consumers as “Product of the Year — 2012”

Tata Swach has been voted ‘Product of the Year 2012’ in the Water Purifiers category. Tata Swach was felicitated as one of the innovative products on the basis of an independent survey conducted by Nielsen with 30,000 consumers across 36 markets in the country.

‘Product of the Year’ is the global consumer recognition standard that celebrates and rewards the best innovations like Tata Swach; in consumer products done through an independent consumer survey across the country — in 32 countries for 25 years. The unique methodology to judge the winner is that companies nominate their best innovations launched which are shortlisted by a jury panel of eminent citizens and very senior media people. The shortlisted products are put through an independent and 100% Face to Face consumer survey conducted by Nielsen across 30,000 respondents in 36 markets to select only 1 winner in each category.

The Award was announced in a glittering event on 31st Mar’12 at The Trident, Mumbai.

Tata Swach bags 'Gold' at the Asian Innovation Awards 2010

Tata Swach won the gold at the Asian Innovation Awards 2010. The prestigious Asian Innovation Awards, presented by The Wall Street Journal, is given to products and services that break conventional processes in creative ways. In 2010, nearly 300 entries came in from Asia, out of which 12 finalists were shortlisted. The winners were announced at a gala ceremony in Hong Kong, where finalists from around the Asia Pacific region gathered as part of a 'Conversations with Innovators of the World' event.

Tata Swach wins accolades at Pitch Marketing Summit 2010

Pitch, the leading marketing monthly of the exchange4media Group, honoured top marketers of India at Pitch India's Top 50 Marketers Awards 2010 at a function in New Delhi. Tata Swach bagged the marketing award in the 'Bottom of the Pyramid' category. The winners were decided over a three-step process including editorial shortlisting by the exchange4media and Pitch editorial team, community polls on exchange4media.com and scrutiny by marketing gurus.

Tata Swach wins 'Gold' at the IDSA Design of the Decade Awards

After receiving accolades for product and technology innovation, Tata Swach also received recognition for its design. The Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) chose Tata Swach as the winner of its Design of the Decade Award - Gold. Companies like Virgin Atlantic, Gillette Venus, Apple Retail Stores have ben the recepients of this prestigious award.

Tata Chemicals wins the global ICIS award for best product innovation for Tata Swach

ICIS, a leading global provider of news and information for the chemical and energy sectors, awarded Tata Chemicals the best product innovation award for Tata Swach, its nanotechnology water purifier. The purifier was a clear winner with its novel use of rice husk ash and hi-tech silver nanotechnology addressing a huge social problem at an economic cost — the provision of safe drinking water in developing areas of the globe. The judges were excited by the purifier as it demonstrated how chemical innovation can be used to address societal problems.

Tata Swach wins Product Innovation Award at Leapvault Change Leadership Awards, 2010

Tata Swach won the much-coveted Sniff award for new product innovation at the Leapvault Change Leadership Awards 2010 in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. Salman Khursheed, as then minister for minority affairs and corporate affairs, Government of India, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The LeapVault Change Leadership Awards endeavour to applaud the work of thought leaders who have not only accepted but lead the change in their respective fields. Based on an innovative concept developed by Tata Consultancy Services Innovation Labs, the Swach water purifier combines low-cost ingredients such as rice husk ash with superior nanotechnology to purify water.
